Heat Treatable Alloys

United Aluminum can supply heat treatable aluminum alloys – 6061, 2024 and 7075 – in the fully annealed condition (O-temper). These alloys allow complex parts to be formed, and it may be possible for you to then heat treat your finished parts to the desired T-Temper.

Do you really need to heat treat aluminum?

Some of our cold-rolled alloys achieve strength levels greater than 6061-T4 and 6061-T6 so sometimes the complexity, variability and expense of heat treatment can be avoided.
